Thirty Second InterviewScariest moment in your career: Two weeks into a new job on a very bumpy flight (in a very small plane) from Southampton to Leeds trying desperately to not be sick on my Director sat next to me.
Favourite language: Body language speaks volumes about a person or a situation! Otherwise, the lovely and useful… Español being the second most natively spoken language and the first language for more nations than any other!
Best ever journey: Walking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu! It was one of the hardest things I have ever done (40km at altitudes up to 4,200m) but it was worth every foot step - recounting such a fascinating history and delving into the lost world of the Incas… breathtakingly amazing.
Worst ever journey: A ‘five hour’ boat journey in Cambodia which took 12 hours, several mechanical interventions, no toilets or food – but the best way to witness real life alongside one of the country’s main life sources.
What would you do with a time machine: I would definitely go back in time… probably to the Swinging Sixties for the “cultural decade” and the start of an on-going social revolution – really interesting… and fun I would think!
What was your last read: Currently reading the first of the Millennium series with high hopes, but it has taken me a long time to get into it… on page 120 and just starting to get hooked. UPDATE: Hooked is an understatement, I read the trilogy in less than a week and was blown away!
If you could change: The UK media… they have far too much influence mostly with negative consequences.
Your favourite place: I think this would have to be in the mountains attached to a pair of skis with dramatic white mountain scenery surrounded by clear blue skies – you can’t beat it! Otherwise anywhere near the sea!
How do you relax: With a glass of wine and good company!
